With her strong interpersonal skills, she is able to find common ground with people of all ages and backgrounds. Fine came out as a lesbian at the age of 40, and worked through informing her husband of almost 14 years. Together they worked out a plan to inform their 10 year-old daughter.

They vowed to keep their co-parenting positive and focused on their daughter's best interests.
