I was instrumental in creating a SAGE affiliate in the western suburbs of Chicago at SAGE West Suburban Senior Services where we provided access to programs and services to participants in the suburbs. With her strong interpersonal skills, she is able to find common ground with people of all ages and backgrounds. Fine came out as a lesbian at the age of 40, and worked through informing her husband of almost 14 years. Together they worked out a plan to inform their 10 year-old daughter.

They vowed to keep their co-parenting positive and focused on their daughter's best interests.
