Click to expand.To everyone who is interested in the translation of this game:Wow, I'm really impressed by the amount of work that has gone on here. Still, it seems to me that if people worked together, this would become a reality. I was (still am) one of the members of the above project. I suppose you could call me the Chief Technical Director in charge of hacking (or something pointless like that). The only other person on the project was a translator. We really didn't get that much done, primarily because of a lack of time. Amped five forensic video enhancement software.
I would love to see this project go forward. It will need some cooperation, but it could get done. I don't know too much about Japanese (he does, obviously), and we dealt with a bunch of the same issues like text overflow/words disappearing/etc. But I finally managed to combat that. The tile ripping idea is really excellent. We were planning on leaving the graphics as they were, but I see you've fixed the problem quite nicely.

I used CrystalTile2 and Tile Molester as well, but for the life of me, I couldn't crack them open. (I suppose I screwed up the settings) If you do, I might just start on translating all the GFX wholesale.Anyway, I suppose it would be good if I figured out exactly what's been done and what hasn't, because people seem to have a little bit of everything. Click to expand.Well, I wouldn't know, because I'm not the one doing it. (xD) Seriously though, after looking over xanth's translations, (which I've already started inserting into data files) I don't think this should be too hard. The hard part is actually inserting the script files into the data files. Dealing with the text overflow etc. Requires constant testing.In any case, I will be on efnet all day (on the channel #shinpan, so if anyone needs to talk immediately, go to the website and on the left side, type in a user name and the in the channel box, type in #shinpan and hopefully you'll enter my room.
If everyone interested could get on at 11 Pacific standard time (2 hours from this post) we'll have a group discussion.
